As we overhaul our official website jaxport.com over the next 12 months, we’ll be better able to post news, notes, audio files and videos on this site – jaxport.info – to keep you informed with news about the Jacksonville Port Authority (JAXPORT) and the maritime industry in Jacksonville, Fla.
jaxport.com will still be available and updated with information regarding port business, cargo, cruise and ferry operations. jaxport.com will still house archived press releases from January 2007 through September 2008.
In addition, there are no changes to JAXPORTjobs.com – that site will continue to serve as an incredible resource for job seekers and port employers in Northeast Florida, the same way it has since 2005.
The only change will be how we publish JAXPORT news online. jaxport.info will allow us to provide you with more frequent port news updates via posts, podcasts and videos. (For the technically-savvy, it will provide you with a more stable RSS feed, too.) Our plan is to integrate all the posts of jaxport.info with the new website once it is launched next year.
I encourage you to let me know what you think. We’re always striving to provide you with the best port information available.
Jeff Price

This is a nice (and in my opinion long overdue) improvement to the old site. I’m looking forward to seeing how this progresses. One suggestion I have is to add an RSS button or link somewhere on the page so people can easily subscribe to your posts.

Thanks for the idea! The RSS logo is now linked to our feed in the right column.
